Sponsor a cog

Why did the cogs have to be replaced?

When the sweeps turn they revolve the shaft on which they are mounted. The brake wheel is fixed on to the shaft and as it turns it transmits power, through the wooden cogs, to the iron cogged stone nut on the quant which turns the upper stone. We found that the cogs of the brake wheel were vibrating due to an incorrect profile, so we had to replace them all.
