The windmill at Windmill Hill is the tallest post mill in Sussex and is a Grade II* listed building. It was built in the 1800s and restored 200 years later. Find out more about its history and restoration on the History page.
Groups, including cycling and walking groups are welcome to visit by prior arrangement. School groups are very welcome and we have educational material for 7-11-year-olds. Find out more about visiting the windmill.
We rely entirely on your support to maintain and run the windmill. Some ways you can support us are by becoming a Friend, volunteering, using our shop, joining our 100 club, making a donation, sponsoring a cog and offering practical help. Find out more in our Support page.
If you run a group, club or society and would like us to come to talk to you about the windmill, please visit this page for more information
